Randall “Randy” Lumia, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Vice President of Human Resources & Organizational Effectiveness
Randy brings over 35 years of life-sciences operational and human resources industry experience to Compliance Architects®. Throughout his seasoned career, he has worked with companies of all sizes and breadth of business needs. He has managed staffs large and small in Manufacturing and Human Resources.
Randy is a strategic and action-oriented professional with experience in managing complex business issues that have organization-wide and global implications. Specialize in leading privately held or publicly owned organizations experiencing change, whether through growth, transition, or strategy realignment. He has a broad and diverse background with demonstrated experience and successes in domestic and foreign-owned multinational companies, such as Novartis, BASF, C.R. Bard, Colgate-Palmolive, and CardioNet.
Prior to joining Compliance Architects®, Randy was a partner in a management consulting firm Paradise Workplace Solutions, where he was an innovative and collaborative business executive with global experience developing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives to advise on organizational effectiveness and proactively address human capital needs to align with the strategic direction of the business. He is a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams across talent management functions that includes recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, training, HR Information Systems, and succession planning. He specializes in leading privately held or publicly owned organizations experiencing change, whether through growth, transition, or strategy realignment.
He brings his fiscal discipline and pragmatic problem-solving skills to the table in a collaborative, responsible, and compliant manner.
Randy has used training from his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from The College of New Jersey and his graduate M.S. degree in Human Resources Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology to apply strategic and tactical solutions to business leaders to resolve unmet business needs.
In addition to having his professional certification as a Senior Professional of Human Resources from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), he has received numerous awards and accolades from the communities in which he has worked and lived. He is currently a Board of Directors member for Avatar Airlines (a start-up high volume, low cost domestic airline awaiting DOT and FAA approval), is also currently a member of the College of New Jersey’s Foundation Board (a role he has been in for almost 20 years, with involvement as Chairperson, Vice-Chair, Audit Committee, Governance Committee, and Investment Committee), has been a mentor for S.C.O.R.E. (an outreach program sponsored by the US Small Business Administration), has held numerous executive positions in local Junior Achievement Boards of Directors and has received National awards for his support and participation, and has also been a volunteer participant for Habitat for Humanity, little league baseball, CYO basketball, and supporting local elementary education through his involvement with the Life Skills Program.
Randy, and his wife Susan, reside in Jupiter, Florida. They enjoy travelling, the arts, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and spending lots of time outdoors.
