Pedro A. Martínez is a seasoned business leader with over three decades of experience in the Chemical, Medical Device, and Pharma industries. Throughout his career, he has spearheaded various organizations in active ingredient manufacturing, medical device supply chains, and combination product start-ups.

Pedro has established global end-to-end supply chain organizations focused on commercializing innovative healthcare platforms in interventional cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, and gynecology. Notable examples include imaging systems for arthroscopy and laparoscopic surgery, ENT functional endoscopy systems, and minimally invasive surgical systems for hernia repair.

He played a pivotal role in setting up the global manufacturing facility for the first commercially sold Drug Eluting Stent (DES), addressing unmet patient needs and establishing a new standard of care.

Pedro’s expertise has been instrumental in resolving key regulatory compliance issues, including the successful resolution of critical inspection findings and warning letters. He has also led the implementation of complex regulations such as Japan’s PAL and the European Medical Device Regulation, ensuring continuity of supply in global markets.

Additionally, Pedro has designed and implemented programs to enhance Quality Culture and performance across a global footprint. These initiatives have significantly reduced gaps and nonconformance events while optimizing production output and capital asset utilization.
