With the pandemic either limiting or eliminating on-site visits for regulatory inspections and audits (internal and third-party), an approach to fill this gap has become remote or virtual inspections/audits. It is likely that even once the pandemic subsides, some parts of remote audits will remain as it has shown there are some benefits to remote activities, primarily in the cost of traveling to sites. This presentation addresses considerations for both those performing remote audits, as well as those on the receiving end.
